claire-150x200Dr Claire Reeler (LinkedIn profile) wanted to be an archaeologist since the age of six, and did exactly that! With a PhD in Archaeology and particular interest in spatial analysis, GIS, and archaeological data-mining, including fuzzy logic and neural networks, she has lived her dream in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Claire completed her PhD at the University of Sydney, using Heurist and GIS to analyse the lithics of Bahrain. Claire has used Heurist since 2010, including as the data management system for a World Heritage Nomination project in Bahrain. Claire lives in Brisbane, working with archaeological and cultural heritage data.

arjen-150x200Arjen Lentz (LinkedIn profile) is originally a programmer, expanding to a variety of functions at the original MySQL database company, then founding Open Query Pty Ltd (acquired by Catalyst IT Australia in 2018). Other current projects that Arjen founded are Upstarta, BlueHackers.org and OpenSTEM Pty Ltd. Arjen brings diverse expertise to ArcheFact, including on topics such as database design and scaling, security, and open source technologies.

For Heurist, we work together with Dr Ian Johnson at the University of Sydney. For FAIMS, we work with the FAIMS team at Macquarie University.
